Answer

Hi – thanks for your email. You wrote that your cat loves to run up your curtains and want to know what to do. Well, that is tough. You can (when you catch your cat in the act) squirt him or her with water or make an unattractive sound (such as shake rocks in a can. Make sure he or she doesn't know where it came from – just that there is a negative consequence for running up the curtains. This way they are more likely to stop the behavior all the time (just when you are around).

You can also try to add something like a double-sided tape to the curtains in spots that may make the behavior less appealing.

Another option – hate to state the obvious but take down the curtains.
