I have three cats and feed them both dry and wet food. I have not heard anymore about cat food recall. I check the web sites but there is only old information. Is there still food I should be watching out for or is the problem taken care of?

Hi – thanks for your email Melissa. You asked about the food recall and if there have been any updates. You are right – there has been very little in the press about the recalls since last summer (2007).

I did look at the updated list on the FDA site which I think is the most complete. They update it as needed – it was last updated with new foods about 3 weeks ago. I don't think it hurts to look at it periodically to make sure anything you are feeding is not on the list. There have not been any BIG issues for a while. If there are – I'll let you know. Make sure you sign up for my newsletter as I send out any alerts as needed.
