Our question this week was:

Are olives bad for cats? My cat loves to eat olives, but he does not eat the pimento.

Answer

Hi – thanks for your email Jami. Aren't cats amazing? Some people think all cats are finicky which is not true. I've seen cats eat some amazing things – pasta, peanut butter, etc.

To answer your question, olives are not toxic or considered "bad" for cats, however there is nothing in olives that they need. If your cat is in good health and seems to tolerate the olives well, then it is probably okay. I'd limit how much you give and keep it minimal.
