Our question this week was:Does kitty litter cause asthma in cats?
Betty C.AnswerHi – thanks for your email. Kitty litter does not cause asthma in cats. Cats that have asthma can be affected by some cat litters making their asthma worse. For example, the very dusty varieties can affect some cats.
Some litters – made of recycled paper, low dust varieties, pine wood, crystal litter have less dust and work better for cats with asthma. Some cats with asthma also prefer unscented varieties.
