Our question this week was:My Ragdoll kitten, "Bodie" is 9-months-old and has long fur. Occasionally, after he uses the litter box, he has some feces caught in his fur. What can I do to prevent this? Is it his diet causing this or should I just clip the fur back there?
Hi – thanks for your email. You wrote that your cat occasionally has feces caught in her fur along her backside. For long-haired cats – there is not much you can do. Keeping the fur trimmed can help. Trim carefully and I recommend NOT using scissors, as it can be easy to cut the skin.
Use clippers if you trim his hair.
