I rented an apartment for 2 years. The old lady next door owned a cat. She would leave for weeks at a time with no one to care for this poor guy. One day he came to my door in the middle of winter. There was snow all over him. I let him in. I had a can of tuna fish. I was not prepared to take on a pet at this time. The next day I went to the store and bought him some food and a litter box. I knew nothing about cats. I had to take him to the vet. He had worms and several other problems. The vet bill was over 400 dollars. When the woman returned she had bought a dog. I told her that I took care of her cat. I didn't even get a thank you from the evil woman. She just wanted to show off her new
puppy. She said the cat could live off the land. He was 11 years old. I decided to move about 6 months later. I couldn't bare leaving this poor creature behind not knowing what would ever become of him. I found another place that would allow me to have a pet. He was now a part of my family. I do everything I can for this guy. The vet says he is just a wonderful cat. I look back on the videos that I took of him and I have no idea how I fell in love with the mangled tomcat he used to be. I wouldn't trade him for all the money in the world. He will live out his senior years comfortably and loved more than he'll ever know.
