Our question this week was:I have a female kitten about 11-weeks-old. She is an indoor cat and is very lonely. I was wondering if I were to get an older cat that is all ready fixed would it be better to get a male or female?
Mel FisherAnswerHi – thanks for your email. You wrote that you have an 11-week–old kitten and you think she is lonely. I'm not sure why you think she is lonely but if you think she would benefit from another cat –then this is generally a great time to do it. She is still learning about life and is an excellent time to socialize her with another cat.
I'd get a cat that is already fixed if it is older. Either a male kitten or adult could work well. Introduce them slowly.
Make sure you are also giving her plenty of play time and exercise.

I'd DEFINATLY get a cat that is already fixed if it is older. Either a male kitten or adult could work well. Introduce them slowly.
