To minimize the stress of moving, keep your cat confined to one room during the majority of the packing and moving. Provide an area for your cat to hide and "feel safe".

A bathroom or bedroom area that might be the last area you plan to pack is often a great spot. Create an spot where your cat will feel safe and include their food, water, litter box and favorite place to sleep or hide such as a favorite bed.

If you have movers and packers, consider creating a space that is off limits to them. Place a sign on the door the alert movers that there is a cat in the room or place a "Do Not Enter" sign on the door.
