Our question this week was:

Why does a cat hide when he or she is sick?

Bob D. – Detroit, MI

Answer

Hi – thanks for your email. You wrote asking why does a cat try to "hide" when he or she is sick? The main reason is instinct. Cats will hide so they are less vulnerable to predators. When a cat is ill, they feel vulnerable and want to find a location where they feel safe.

Best of luck!
