Our question this week was:My dog is on the expensive drug Carvedilol (Coreg) - do you know of a cheaper source for carvedilol?

Hi – thanks for your email. To answer your question, I called Dr. John Bonagura, a professor of cardiology at Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Carvedilol is a heart medication commonly used in dogs.
Dr. Bonagura told me that Carvedilol was recently added to Wal-Mart and Sam's Club $4.00 prescription drug program. This was effective September 27, 2007. It is good for:
CARVEDILOL 3.125MG TABLET 60
CARVEDILOL 6.25MG TABLET 60
CARVEDILOL 12.5MG TABLET 60
CARVEDILOL 25MG TABLET 60
