How can I tell if my dog is dying? My mom said that my dog was having trouble breathing. What should I do?

Answer

Hi – Sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds serious. If your dog is having trouble breathing, I recommend that you take him to your local veterinarian or veterinary emergency clinic as soon as possible.

Trouble breathing is a serious symptom and can be cause by many different problems including different types of heart disease, heart failure and lung disease.

The medical term for trouble breathing is "dyspnea". An article that might be helpful to you is on our Petplace.com is "Dyspnea" This article discusses possible causes for the problem.

But for right now, you need to get your dog to the vet! Let them figure out what the problem is and see if they can help your dog!

Best of luck!
