German Shorthaired Pointer Takes Westminster Dog Show 2005!

This year a 5 ½ year old female German shorthaired pointer won the 2005 Wesminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Her name is Ch Kan-Point's VJK Autumn Roses, a.k.a. "Carlee".

Competition and judging were tough, with a number of dogs returning to the show ring. Here are the results for Best in Group:

  • Toy group: Ch.Yakee If Only (Pekingese)
  • Herding group: Ch Borderfame Spellbound (Border Collie)
  • Hound group: Ch Heathers Knock On Wood (Bloodhound)
  • Non-sporting group: Ch Kimik's Bare Necessities (Tibetan Terrier)
  • Terrier group: Ch Cracknor Cause Celebre (Norfolk terrier)
  • Working Group: Ch Dieudonne Impyrial (Great Pyrenees)

    The Westminster Dog Show, in its 129th season in 2005, is the second-longest continuously running sporting event in the United States, next to the Kentucky Derby.
