Our question this week was:I feed my Gordon's 1 tablespoon of cottage cheese along with their dry dog food at their evening feeding. I do so on the recommendation of the Kennel I bought the Gordon's from. Is this a good practice?Michael StolhandAnswerHi Michael – thanks for your email. Veterinarians get these types of questions a lot. Many breeders have little things that they recommend or do that they believe is good for their dogs. Let me put it this way. I don't think the cottage cheese is a problem. If your dog is eating a balanced good quality dog food, he doesn't need it. But like I say – on the other hand, it is probably not going to hurt anything if you want to do that. Best of luck! Dr. JonP.S. - Are you dog crazy? Click here to take our survey!
