We all want our pets to be safe and healthy. We commonly do all kinds of things to prevent disease, maintain health and prevent problems.
For example, we prevent illness by vaccinating our dogs and cats, we try to maintain wellness by feeding a good quality food and use medications to prevent fleas and ticks. We also try to ensure our pets play, and get lots of exercise to be strong and happy.
Other things pet lovers can do at home to keep their pets safe is to keep their pet on a leash or in a fenced in yard, be careful about toxin exposure, keep trash cans covered, use medications only prescribed or recommended by your veterinarian and....observe your pet on a regular basis.
But there are some things you can't prevent. You can't prevent accidents that just happen and you can't prevent diseases from occurring such as heart failure, kidney disease or cancer.
That is why for many years I have been recommending that you consider pet insurance. As a veterinarian, I've seen pet insurance over and over save pets lives. It can allow a pet to get the best treatment for a problem without worry about the financial implications.
There are many good companies in the market with new and exciting companies entering the market to serve pet owners. Recently a new company called PetPremium Pet Insurance
entered the market. I spoke with the company's CEO, Sandra Boucher. Sandra is a pet lover with over 20 years of human and pet healthcare experience that she brought to PetPremium. Sandra enthusiastically loves to find ways to help pet parents protect pets with pet insurance.
PetPremium provides coverage for dog and cats with easy to understand policies. Simply choose your deductible, your coverage and your incident limit to come up with a fair and easy quote. Sandra takes pride in how her company offers fast claim turnarounds and really offers polices for every type of budget. Their policies are simple and what you see is what you get.
And Sandra is a real pet lover! Above is a photo of her dog Buddy and she also has a Himalayan named Pixie and a Persian named Precious as well as twelve fish!
We strongly believe that pet insurance can really help pet owners provide the best care for pets. Please take a few minutes and consider if pet insurance is right for you.
