Hi Danita– thanks so much for your email and kind words about PetPlace. We try very hard to give you the information needed to keep your pet as happy and healthy as possible.

I agree that this is a difficult time for pet owners and hard to know what to feed. I think there are safe foods out there.

I, as well as most veterinarians, am very hesitant to recommend recipes to pet owners to make homemade pet foods. In my experience, I've seen many more problems from owners feeding a poor quality homemade food than from pet food manufacturers.

It takes a substantial amount of dedication to make a nutritious and consistent homemade food for dogs and cats. I have very few clients that do it and do it well enough that I feel totally comfortable with what they are feeding.

With that being said, I do have a couple recipes. Please show these to your vet and make sure they think they are okay before you use this long-term.
