Over The Counter Dog Medications - Vet’s Advice On Over The Counter Dog Meds

By: Dr. Jon Rappaport

What are some over the counter dog medications?

Some over the counter dog medications are medications that people use but can be used in dogs. These medications are not specifically made for dogs so you should always get your veterinarian's advice before using in your pet. Some possible medications that may be used include aspirin and diphenhydramine (Benadryl). Some over the counter medications can be toxic or even deadly so be very careful and check with your veterinarian before using any over the counter dog medications.
