Hi Michelle– thanks for your email and question about pet insurance. As you may know, there are several companies that offer pet insurance. I think it can be very difficult to evaluate things like insurance (car, health or whatever!).

What you can do is create a spreadsheet – and call them. You can ask what they cover, premium, % reimbursement, what they offer in your state (many companies or particular policies are not available in all states), and monthly premium.
