The aquatic Oriental red-bellied toads recognize routine, and if you open their aquaterrarium at about the same time for feeding every day, you'll find them bobbing about on the surface of the water, waiting for you. Feed these small toads every other day. Use forceps to offer small crickets to each toad. Sections of earthworms, impaled on a broom straw, make it easy to make certain every frog is eating. Earthworm pieces seem to help the frogs hold the distinctive red coloration of their bellies. Over time, the coloration tends to fade to a yellow-orange.
