Your bunny depends on you for safety. Make sure your rabbit doesn't chew on sharp or fibrous objects, which may cut the gums or inside of his mouth. Also watch for objects that can splinter and cause penetrating wounds in the mouth.

Always keep your rabbit's living area clean and sanitized, watch his nutrition to prevent obesity. Avoid contact between rabbits and other animals that may result in puncture wounds from teeth or nails.
