How did I become a person with too many no so many pets? Here's how:
Cats
1. Fluppy - My brother, mom and I coached her over to our home in 1988.
2. Ava- I was running late for work and I saw everyone swerving around something in the road. It was a beautiful calico kitten. I parked the car, got out barefoot and put her in my car. I often wondered why no one blew me or overtook my car since I was holding up traffic.
3. Teddy - after a Toastmasters meeting a friend showed me a beautiful gray persian/tabby kitten that needed a home.
4. Tiffany and 5. Tye - the same friend in three showed me her next litter of gray Persian/tabby kittens who of course needed a home.
6. Toni - She hung out around my neighborhood. I coached her with a can of wet food into my house
7. Tia - she hung around my boyfriend's (now husband) apartment
Dogs
1. Rocky - a neighbor gave him to us in 1996
2. Ricky - was an old lame dog that would sit outside my house. After a few people tried to abuse him I coached him into my backyard. I found out that he was not an old dog but a puppy whose leg eventually healed.
3. Rex - another neighborhood dog that I fed.
That is how I got 10 pets! I never set out to have so many but when I met each one I wanted to give them a better life - and I have!
