Beagle - Princess, my Beagle was meant for me

I adopted Princess 3 years ago, a week after my previous dog, beagle, Lucky, died as a result of heart failure. I really wasn't thinking of adopting so soon, but members of my staff made me go to a nearby animal shelter where I met Princess.

She was small and adorable. Her former owners had left her there only four days prior. To this day I cannot understand how they could have given up something so precious. But I guess she was meant to be mine. I didn't take her home immediately. I was feeling a bit guilty about adopting so soon.

But when I got home, her little face kept coming to my mind, and I was feeling a bit guilty about leaving her at the shelter. The next day, I got up early and called to find out if she was still available. She was, and the manager of the shelter knew that I would call.

She had the paperwork already started. From day 1, she showed how bright and loveable she was. Her name definitely suits her.
