We had a golden retriever name David who really felt in his heart he was a person (we forgot to socialize him with other dogs when he was a puppy). Whenever he went to the Veterinarian, he would sit on the couches or in a chair and look down on the other dogs as though he was a person. He weighted 120 lbs and was very tall. The people who were also waiting would laugh. We found one doctor that he just loved to death, so like a fool I would drive him a hour away from home when he needed to visit the vet. On one visit, the assistants came out and ask each of the dog owners to bring whatever their pet name was into the examining room. When it came time for David to be seen, the Vet himself opened up the door and just called "Hey Dave come on". Dave jumps up and runs into the examining room leaving me. I just ask myself, why can't my dog be normal like everyone else's.Karen - Atlanta Georgia
