Labrador Retriever - I love my Lab because she is my friend and companion

My dog’s name is “Sweet Lips” and I love her because she is a happy, loyal companion. I named her sweet lips because I watched a documentary on George Washington and his favorite dogs name was Sweet Lips.

She was a city dog and I adopted her from a rescue group and took her to 140 acres with two lakes. She loves to run and swim. She also loves to get into the mud. Her favorite toy is the Kong. Everyday I take her to the lakes and she loves to fetch the Kong. She will swim and retrieve it as many times as it is tossed to her until she is exhausted!

Her main diet is Hill’s Science Diet and occasionally I’ll feed her Iams Dry food for Adult Dogs. Her favorite treat are….Slim Jims. A night before I go to bed, she gets a Slim Jim. You wouldn’t believe how she looks forward to it. If I don’t have it, she looks at me as if to say – “Hey, where’s my Slim Jim?”

Everyday is a wonderful day for her. I think she loves me as much as I love her. Other than my wife, she is my best friend.
