Maine Coon - My Boolah and Me

Maine Coon - My Boolah and Me

By: Linda - Spring Hill, Florida

My cat is like one of my children. She just turned 14 years old and that is about how long she has been my boss. We recently drove from Montana to Florida (which is a long trip for anyone or any animal) and we did just fine. She was given to me by my daughter on my 49th birthday and has been with me ever since except when I was in the hospital.

I even took her with me to conventions I had to travel to. Between us we have a lot of sky miles but can you believe it - they won't give them to my cat. We both battle the bulge - neither one of like the scales. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with Diabetes and needs insulin twice a day. She is such a good girl - doesn't even flinch. I hate needles and it has taken a lot of "talking to myself" to be able to give her injections - but we are pro's at it now.

She is always there for me - follows me from room to room and if I happen to go into a room she is in by herself she always greets me with her "cat sound". I just love her - how else can it be said.
