Funny I should read this today (Dec.30). When I came to my place of business today and opened up my shop, I looked out my back door and there sat a lovely Maine Coon (?). I have no idea where she (?) came from. I let her in the shop and she made herself right at home. She is very clean, friendly and hungry.
My daughter went to the local store and got some food for her, which she ate right up. In the mean time a customer of mine came in and exclaimed what a beautiful cat. I told her how she found me and I had no idea where she came from. Some background-I have a gift shop and sell garden items. Some of these items are iron stakes you put in your yard.
In order to display them, I put them in pots filled with kitty litter. Well, it's not hard to figure out what happen from there. As I was talking to my customer, the cat proceeded to find the kitty litter in a pot and do what cats do in kitty litter. I was shocked that she found it and started laughing. Lucky for me my customer is a cat lover and started laughing too. I would imagine some people would think it was gross having a cat go potty among the merchandise!
That's my story- I could tell a lot more, as I have 9 cats at home. Hopefully her family will claim her. In the mean time, she is outside in a sheltered area with her own private kitty litter box until I come back to work.
