Sachi came to us from a friend that does wild bird pet rescue. Being that Sachi is a Siamese kitten there was too much conflict in our friend's household. She told us the story of how Sachi came to her.... 441 (state road 7) is a busy highway that had 6 lanes of traffic blocked off by the police to capture Sachi who amazingly darted in and out of cars without getting hit. People were swerving to avoid her and were nearly getting into wrecks.
The police thought that it would be prudent to catch the little rascal before a serious accident occurred. Blocking all 6 lanes they chased her down until she was in their grasp. A small miracle that this 7-week-old baby was not hit. When we got Sachi we had not decided on a name for her, several names went by until we thought of Sasha... we knew that it was close but not quite right. So thinking of Sasha we went to a bookstore to look at a baby name book. My wife opened right to the S's unintentionally and there on the page was the word Sachi - Japanese for lucky or blessed. Could it be more appropriate???
