My feelings on dog fighting? It is cruel...barbaric. We hear about the poor pits and other dogs used for this "practice", what we do not hear so much about are the little dogs that have been stolen from their owners to start them out with, the little dogs that are first terrorized by a vicious dog then killed.
My God, can you imagine how someone’s pampered pet felt when they were thrown into a ring by "humans" with these dogs? The thought of their trusting eyes right before they are thrown to the killers makes me physically ill, as it should most people.
I really think the penalty should be equal to the crime. Put them in prison, there they will be housed with some equally cruel human beings (and I use this term loosely)..
Some may be a little more savage than they are, maybe they will fear for their lives, maybe they will feel the same sense of despair that their victims have felt. I can only hope...
