My Yorkshire Terrier, Riley, is 11 1/2 years old. Ever since he was a puppy he didn't like me to pay any attention to another dog. My friend and her dog, Toby, and myself and Riley walk every morning. If I as much as try to say "Hi Toby", my little green-eyed monster comes in for the attack - growling and lunging for Toby's loins or neck. Thankfully Toby is a gentle yellow lab and I think he knows he could beat Riley if he really wanted to. He just lets Riley vent and then we go on our way. Of course Riley is no match for Toby, who is the same age, yet about 75 pounds bigger. And now that Riley had all his teeth removed, we just laugh at his harmless display of jealousy. I do try now to give Toby a secret "hi" and a pat on his head when Riley isn't looking! I know that Riley just wants to be my one and only.
