How deep should you fill your cats litter box?

Every cat has a preference. To figure out what your cat likes, fill the litter box about 2 ½ inches then tilt the box to the litter is deeper at one end (about 4 inches) and shallow at the other end (about 1 inch). Watch to see which end your cat uses, then fill the litter box to that level.
