Tip on Grooming Cats
Here is a tip from one of our PetPlace.com users:
My cat is a mixed breed and has very fine, medium length fur. I find that I can best get out the undercoat by first using one of those rubber Kong brushes because the rubber gently grips the inner hairs, and she loves it. Then I use a very fine tined (round shaped) "slicker" brush to smooth out the hairs. We do this for about 15 to 20 minutes each day. This gets out a lot of the shedding hair. The cat loves it and purrs, especially when brushing along her face and neck. I found that this really helps with the hairball issue too. Also, last time we were at the vet, he commented on how soft her fur is!
