Tip on No More Tangles

Tip on No More Tangles

Here is a tip from one of our PetPlace.com users:

I have had one or more longhaired cats for over 20 years. As they age, they become lax in their grooming, sometimes so much so that I have to take them to the vet for grooming.

I have discovered this trick: Take a large toothed plastic comb, wet it, and put just a dab of hair conditioner on it. Gently comb the cat, separating the matted hair and removing the mats one by one. If my kitties are badly matted, I sometimes comb and condition them more than once a day. The 21 year old is the chief offender. The vet told me that she is licking herself backward, resulting in horrendous hairballs.
