Here is a tip from one of our PetPlace.com users:

My cat Pooker is about 4 years old. I make her work for her treats by taking a toilet paper roll, pinching or folding it shut on one end, and putting a few of her favorite treats into the open end. She really likes to bat this around and flip it over until she can get at those treats.

Sometimes I pinch both end (a gentle fold-over) shut and she really works to “hunt” those treats down a little harder. It is a cheap toy and lots of fun to watch the hunt.
