Why do cats drool? Drooling can be normal in some cats, however, not very many. Some cats will drool when they are excited, nervous or just about to eat.
Excessive drooling can occur in any cat and can be caused by a variety of reasons. For example, some cats may drool when they are nauseated (or just before they vomit) or have a oral abnormality such as a dental problem or something caught in their mouths.
