My vet has the personality of a cucumber

Our question this week was:

Dr. Debra – No kidding – my vet has the personality of a cucumber or a head of lettuce. We just don’t seem to connect. My cat has some sort of bite wound that hasn’t healed well (I know that is not my vets fault) but when I go in – it just feels weird. His personality just doesn’t mesh with mine I guess. Should I say something?

I’d rather not give my name – so call me Bob.

Answer

Hi – thanks for your email “Bob”. You wrote that your vet has a personality that doesn’t mesh with yours and you wonder if you should say something.

I think that maybe you should just find another veterinarian. Ask your friends or neighbors who they like and find someone else. It is important to have a good relationship and it sounds like the one you have is not what you want.

Best of luck!
