Our question this week was:
Dr. Debra – what is a normal temperature in a cat? I’m a student working on a health class assignment.
David.
Answer
Hi – thanks for your email. You wrote asking what is a normal temperature in a cat. A normal rectal temperature in a cat is considered to be around 100° Fahrenheit to about 102° Fahrenheit. You will read slightly different normal’s but that is about it.
An article that might be helpful to you is What Is Normal in Cats? This article goes through a normal heart rate, temperature and respiratory rate in a cat.
Best of luck on your project!
Dr. Debra
