Is there such a thing as a pet insurance policy that only covers cancer?

One question that pet lovers have asked while researching pet insurance is whether any policies out there cover just cancer, one of the most common diseases to affect dogs and cats. Are there any cancer-only pet insurance policies?

Based on our research, cancer coverage is almost always part of a larger policy with more benefits. Typically pet insurance companies will offer it as part of their premium policies. Just like diabetes and kidney failure, cancer is a very common health problem that is covered by major providers.

One pet insurance company that does have a cancer-only plan is Pets Best insurance. The Cancer Only plan includes annual coverage of $8,000 and a $30,000 lifetime maximum. It covers the diagnosis and treatment of cancer including exams, blood work, surgeries, medications and chemotherapy. This policy does not cover other medical problems, illnesses and injuries.

I hope this has helped you understand more about cancer-only pet insurance plans.
