Is it safe to feed expired dog food? Ideally, you should only buy an amount of dog food that your dog or dogs can eat in a month. Also, it is ideal that this food is not expired.

The safest advice I can give is to say – if it is expired, don't feed it.

What would I do? If a food smells and looks okay and it has expired within the past few months, I'd probably feed it to my pets.
