Tips on Ear Cleaning

Keeping your pet's ears clean is an important part of keeping your dog healthy. As a drying solution, equal parts vinegar and isopropyl alcohol can be used if the ear is not inflamed. This is usually most helpful to dry ears after a dip in the lake or pool. Avoid this homemade mix if the ears are red and irritated. If your pet resents his ears being cleaned, or you notice excess discharge or a foul odor, consult your veterinarian for alternative treatments.
