Here are some simple and healthy gravy flavor enhancers that you can add to dry dog food to enhance its flavor and your dogs desire to eat. This can work great on dogs that are recovering from an illness and have a decreased appetite or finicky dogs! Check with your veterinarian to ensure this enhance is compatible with your pet’s diet. Make sure you are feeding a high quality AAFCO approved dog food!

Chicken Gravy Dog Food Enhancer
Ingredients:
½ cup frozen mixed peas and carrots
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
½ cup cooked chicken breast – shredded
½ cup cooked rice
Instructions:
Defrost frozen vegetables by following instructions on the package using the microwave or placing vegetables in a strainer and running hot water over them.
Combine vegetables, chicken broth, chicken and rice in a food processor or blender
Process until smooth and creamy (gravy consistency). You may add more chicken broth to obtain a thinner consistency.
Refrigerate until use.
To use, place ¼ cup in your dogs bowl and heat in microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. Stir to ensure there are no “hot spots” in the gravy. Add kibble and mix.
Serve!
Turkey Gravy Dog Food Flavor Enhancer
