Our question this week was:

Will a puppy's canine teeth grow back? Our beagle is 5 months old and we just discovered she had lost one of her canine teeth and another one is coming lose. My husband and I were wondering if this was normal.

Answer

Hi – thanks for your email Maria. Puppies will loose their baby teeth and have their adult teeth. Most dogs have all their adult teeth by the time they are 6 to 7 months of age. It is one way that veterinarians try to age dogs if their age is unknown.
