Our question this week was:
My dog just died of lymphoma leukemia. Was there anyway to stop it?
Hi – thanks for your email. Sorry to hear about your dog. There is no way to prevent lymphoma. However, there are methods to "treat" lymphoma. In one study, 80 to 90 percent of dogs treated for lymphosarcoma by chemotherapy achieve remission and average survival time is one year. Ten to 15 percent of dogs treated for lymphosarcoma survive 2 years or more.
