Chinchillas are very good at hiding signs of illness, so if they act sick, it is usually quite serious. Bring your chinchilla to the veterinarian at the earliest onset of signs of illness. Signs of illness in your pet may be very subtle such as a decrease or change in activity level, appetite or fecal output.

Always provide excellent nutritional and sanitary conditions. This is the BEST preventive care you can provide for your chinchilla.
