Dr. Debra Primovic - DVM

After spending the early part of her career as a Registered Nurse (RN) working with patients in need of peritoneal dialysis, Dr. Debra realized that she actually preferred working with animals. Debra became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Throughout her career as a veterinarian, which now spans nearly 30 years, Debra has treated thousands of animals and authored hundreds of articles about pet health.

Debra loves being able to provide care for pets, help them to feel better, and improve the quality of their lives on a daily basis. As a writer, Debra enjoys having the opportunity to educate pet owners so they can provide the best care for their pets. Her main area of focus is pet health and wellness, with special interests in disease outbreaks, feline medicine, emergency and critical care, medical updates, and home care advice. Her goal is to ensure that pet owners understand what they can do to help their pet at home and when they should seek professional help from a veterinarian.
