Dr. Stephanie Silberstang is a senior emergency clinician at a specialty and referral hospital in New York City. Dr. Silberstang has both a Bachelor’s of Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University, and completed an internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists before moving back to New York to accept a full-time job on Fifth Avenue. Dr. Silberstang specializes in gastrointestinal, reproductive, and emergency surgeries.
When she is not on call, Dr. Silberstang enjoys spending time working with the adoptable animals at a local New York City shelter. She loves being able to provide love and care for animals who do not yet have a family of their own. Dr. Silberstang also has an interest in hospice care and pursued a certification in veterinary acupuncture to help animals who are in pain at the end of life. In that capacity, Dr. Silberstang loves being able to help people through what is often the most emotional time of their life.
