Matthew Deapo

Matthew Deapo is the Editor-in-Chief of PetPlace, where he's helped pet parents find trustworthy answers to their biggest questions since 2019. Whether he's editing articles on pet health, behavior, nutrition, or insurance, his goal is simple: make expert-backed information easy to understand and use in everyday life with pets.

Matthew holds a Master's in English and a Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication from St. Bonaventure University. He is also a contributor to the book Heaven Was Detroit: From Jazz to Hip-Hop and Beyond. When he's not working on PetPlace, you'll likely find him writing about film and music, spending time with his wife and son, or hanging out with his beagle at home in Philadelphia.
