Beagle Takes Westminster Dog Show 2008 for First time EVER!
This years Westminster Dog Show was unbelievable! Over 2632 beautiful dogs were displayed representing 169 breeds during this two-day event.
This year, a beautiful 3-year-old beagle that goes by the name "Uno" was the winner! This rambunctious beagle, formally named Ch K-Run's Park Me In First, wowed both judges and spectators.
He won best in his breed group during Monday nights show and won best in show on the final judging at the 2008 Westminster Dog show! Uno is a 15 inch male born on May 5, 2005.
This is the first win for the beagle during the 132-year history! The show took place at Madison Square Gardens in New York City.

Competition and judging were tough, with a number of dogs returning to the show ring.

- Herding group: Ch Vinelake Collinswood Yablon OA OAJ (Breed:Australian Shepherd)
- Hound group: Ch K-Run's Park Me In First (Breed:Beagle)
- Non-sporting group: Ch Brighton Minimoto (Breed:Poodle Standard).
- Terrier group: Ch Efbe's Hidalgo At Goodspice (Breed: Sealyham Terrier)
- Working group: Ch Redwitch Reason To Believe (Breed:Akita)
- Sporting group: Ch Colsidex Seabreeze Perfect Fit (Breed: Weimaraner)
The Westminster Dog Show, in its 132ND season in 2008, is the second-longest continuously running sporting event in the United States, next to the Kentucky Derby.
